Is MBE an express courrier?

MBE is not an express courrier but much more: managing the shipping process, before, during and after the delivery. We offer the most suitable express courrier for every situation depending on your needs.

What is the fuel surcharge?

It is a variable charge, updated monthly based on the fuel price fluctuations, that couriers apply to shipments. The supplement refers to the cost of each individual shipment and can also be applied to certain supplements and ancillary services. The fee rates applied take effect from the first Monday of the month in question. As of March 1, 2022, the supplement will be updated weekly due to significant price fluctuations in the current environment.

standard domestic shipments: 34,50%
domestic express and international shipments: 48,50%

standard domestic shipments: 28,50%

Which are the items subject to shipping restrictions?

In some countries there may be limitations related to the shipment of the following articles:

Alcoholic beverages
Personal effects
Fresh food and perishables
Pharmaceuticals
Plants and seeds
Works of art and antiques
Metals and precious stones
Fragile objects, such as glass, bottles, etc.

For some of the items of the categories mentioned above, Mail Boxes Etc. can offer alternatives to the Express Couriers circuit, thanks to agreements with specialized transport companies. For these requirements, contact your MBE Solutions Center.

Are there items considered as prohibited to be shipped?

Import and export of the following items is prohibited:

Live animals
Weapons
Exceptionally valuable items (antiques, precious stones)
Ivory and ivory products
High alcohol content beverages
Currency and negotiable instruments (checks, bills, etc.)
Pornography
Goods and hazardous materials
Animal skin and fur
Tobacco and tobacco products

MBE Centers do not transport any goods that has the following characteristics:

goods which are prohibited by law or by any federal, state or local level regulation of the countries of origin or destination
goods that may infringe any law on the import and export
goods that may endanger the safety of our employees or the means of transport
goods which might soil, stain, damage other goods or equipment

What is the remote area surcharge?

For remote area is meant an area outside of those normally served by express couriers.

You can check if is a surcharge i considered using the tool for remote locations.

What is meant by wine shipping for personal use in the USA and which destinations are not served?

Personal use is intended without commercial purposes. High quantities of wine can be considered for commercial use with an import license needed.

Delivery times depend on the service chosen and destination. The service does not include the following destinations: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Utah, West Virginia. This list can be changed or updated.
